Good News Story

"I was referred to Phoenix Enterprises to attend the Community Work Placement by my JobcentrePlus Advisor.  Diane, the CWP Placement Officer, quickly arranged a work placement interview for me at Priory Campus, where I would be on placement as Assistant Caretaker.

I worry when having to go to interviews and I asked questions."

"I had never had a paid job before this, even though I have attended various courses and work placements I started the placement on 5th October 2015, and I was nervous about starting as I knew I would be meeting new people."

"My placement was due to end on in April 2016, and on the 7th April I was offered a permanent paid job due to start on Monday 11th April – on my Birthday!  A great Birthday present!"

“Darren was sent to us on a work placement through Phoenix Enterprise. As expected Darren was very nervous at interview, and as such did not sell himself very well, however he was keen and a polite young man. We decided to try Darren within our Facilities management team. He flourished, and quickly showed that our faith in him was not misplaced, he is courteous with all colleagues and the general public, and always tries to get the best outcome for the users of Priory Campus. With some coaching and training, and support and encouragement from the existing team, he has proved himself to be invaluable, and an asset to Priory Campus. I look forward to working with Darren in the long term, to enable him to develop is skills and confidence to enable him in time to move on into the facilities market place as a complete package, and an asset to ant. Thank you Phoenix!”
